Are you passionate about teaching fly-fishing or fly-tying? Do you care deeply about sharing your love of coldwater fisheries with the next generation of fisherwomen and watershed stewards?
Volunteers are needed for a new outdoor STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) opportunity for Girl Scouts across Southeastern Pennsylvania-- Trout Unlimited's STREAM Girls Pilot Program.
Co-led by the Valley Forge Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Stroud Water Research Center, the first ever STREAM Girls of southeastern Pennsylvania will engage and empower fourth through eighth grade Juniors and Cadettes in coldwater fisheries, water resource conservation, stream ecology, and so much more!
Volunteers are required to--
-- Complete the volunteer interest form to receive important details on training and locations; and
-- Attend one 1-hour volunteer training on a TBD day in July or August.
The STREAM Girl Program will be held for scouts on August 17 and 18 for Fly Casting/Fishing and Fly-Tying at Anson B. Nixon Park in Kennett Square, Chester County and the Stroud Water Resources Center in Avondale, Chester County. Click Here for more information.
