Green Building Alliance Accepting Applications For Emerging Youth Fall Program

The Green Building Alliance in Pittsburgh is now accepting applications for its Green & Healthy Schools Academy Emerging Youth Fall Program until August 2.
The Emerging Youth Program integrates concepts of sustainability into the lives of a diverse group of high-school students by incorporating the values of equity, accountability, leadership, collaboration, community, and health as a means of challenging students to self – advocate for their own futures.
Based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), the program catalyzes students to implement daily transformative actions to improve the health of their communities. The program 
The program will launch in the Fall 2019 - 2020 academic school year. Throughout the semester, students will participate in scheduled monthly meetings (from August 2019 to May 2020) that consist of workshops, lectures, service-learning projects,and site visits throughout Pittsburgh. 
The day’s activities will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with snacks provided upon arrival. Monthly meeting locations will be determined by the global actions associated with each of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs).
