The organizers of the 3rd Annual Pennsylvania Sportsmen's Forum have issued a call for presentation proposals. The Forum will be held September 20-21 at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Lebanon County.
The deadline for submissions is July 12.
Conservationists and sportsmen coming together to discuss shared goals and develop joint efforts in areas such as fish and wildlife habitat restoration, land conservation, forest management, stream restoration and more.
Proposals for presentations for the September 20 part of the Forum are being requested on topics, including but not limited to:
-- Habitat Restoration Efforts for species of interest to hunting and fishing communities such as: Prescribed Burning; Riparian Forest Buffer Installation; Forest Management; Large Woody Debris;
-- Population concerns and recovery efforts for species such as: Mallard; American Eel; and White-Tailed Deer & Chronic Wasting Disease;
-- Unique Conservation Partnerships;
-- GIS Analysis and Prioritization Efforts;
-- Landowner Engagement; and
-- Sportsmen Profit/Funding Opportunities.
Presentations should be from 30 to 45 minutes in length.
Applications will be selected based upon the following criteria: Innovativeness; Relevancy to Forum Mission; and Practical application and transferability
