The Chesapeake Bay Local Government Advisory Committee is holding 4 roundtable discussions for local officials in Pennsylvania on November 9, 14, 15 and 16 to have an open discussion about obstacles and opportunities to protect and restore local streams.
The roundtable will help gather information about local resource gaps (staffing, technical assistance, funding, etc.), and identify what it is communities need to more fully participate in watershed protection and restoration.
The information shared by local officials at this roundtable will help Pennsylvania develop a strategy for addressing resource gaps at the local level.
Members of the Local Government Advisory Committee and the Department of Environmental protection will be attending the meeting.
The meeting is for local elected officials, but they may bring one essential staff person like a manager, public works director, planner, etc.
