In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Trails and National Wild & Scenic Rivers systems in 2018, the National Park Foundation Friday announced 20 grants that will enhance the country's national trails and wild and scenic rivers and provide increased public access.
The North Country National Scenic Trail, was one of the trails that received a grant. Pennsylvania is host to 180 miles of the trail which travels through Butler County and meanders through the Allegheny National Forest in Warren County.
