DEP Citizens Advisory Council June 19 Meeting To Focus On Energy Programs, Public Engagement

The agenda for DEP’s Citizens Advisory Council June 19 meeting includes a discussion of the agency’s energy programs and public engagement and outreach.
David Althoff, Director of DEP’s Energy Programs, will provide an overview presentation on the energy programs, including conservation and efficiency, advanced technologies, energy security and resiliency and education and outreach.
Julie Lalo, Director of DEP’s Office of Communications will provide a presentation on DEP public engagement and outreach activities and initiatives.
One highlight from the June Report to the CAC includes--
-- Oil & Gas General Permits 5 & 5A to control methane emissions from unconventional natural gas operations at compressor stations and well sites will be issued by DEP on June 8 and become effective August 8.  DEP will also release a new ePermitting module for GP5/5A and hold a training webinar for industry and consultants.
