The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association will hold its 25th Annual Conference, Workshop and Trade Show September 18 to 20 at the Radisson Hotel, Camp Hill, Cumberland County across the river from Harrisburg.
This year’s conference will center around higher education in our industry while maintaining focus on the four IECA’s 4 Educational Tracks of erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, MS4’s and surface water restoration.
Abstracts Deadline May 31
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter IECA is still accepting abstracts and presentations for the conference until May 31. Click Here on how to submit a proposal. Among the potential "hot topics" are--
-- Coastal resiliency planning, practices and approaches;
-- Research and Innovation from Colleges and Universities throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region (Professors, students are faculty urged to submit!);
-- Regional responses and methods for implementation of stormwater, sediment control, LID/green infrastructure and stream restoration projects;
-- Innovative approaches, planning and securing funding for MS4 permit compliance, implementation personnel and meeting restoration requirements;
-- Innovative planning, designs and installation of sediment control BMP’s and/or plans; and
-- Case studies and virtual tours of Mid-Atlantic region stormwater, sediment control, LID/green infrastructure and stream restoration projects.
