DEP Williamsport Office To Hold Earth Day Open House April 23

DEP's Northcentral Regional Office in Williamsport is inviting citizens of all ages to talk one-on-one with DEP staff, view educational displays and demonstrations, and sign up for a new opportunity to engage with DEP at an Earth Day Open House April 23 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
One lucky attendee will be given a recycled rain barrel.
Attendees will see live demonstrations of Enviroscape and groundwater models, radiation protection equipment, the DEP Falcon Cam, DEP mapping portals, aquarium and insect displays, FLIR cameras, and much more.  
DEP programs represented at the Earth Day Open House will include:  Radiation Protection, Safe Drinking Water, Oil and Gas, Waste Management, Abandoned Mine Reclamation, Air Quality, Clean Water, Waterways and Wetlands, Environmental Cleanup and Brownfields, Energy Office, Environmental Education, Environmental Justice, the Office of Chief Counsel, and the Bureau of Investigations.
The DEP Northcentral Regional Office serves the following counties: Bradford, Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Sullivan, Snyder, Tioga, and Union.
The office is located at 208 West Third Street in Williamsport.
