The Susquehanna River Basin Commission will host another in its series of Public Water Supply Assistance Program workshops on April 24, this one on Technical and Regulatory Considerations for Public Water Supply Managers and Consultants.
Presentations at the Workshop include--
-- The Future of Water: Data or Instincts? -- Todd Halihan, Ph.D., P.G., Professor of Geology at Oklahoma State University and Chief Technical Officer for Aestus LLC., 2018 McEllhiney Lecturer;
-- Safe Drinking Water Regulatory Update -- Dawn Hissner, DEP Bureau of Safe Drinking Water, Environmental Program Manager, Operations, Monitoring & Compliance; and
-- Overview of SRBC Regulation of Public Water Supplies -- Jason Oyler, Esq., SRBC General Counsel.
Other topics to be covered include-- Registration of grandfathered water sources with the Commission, Groundwater availability and contributing basin analyses and Environmental resource and impact information
The Workshop will be held at the SRBC Offices, 4423 North Front Street in Harrisburg from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with lunch provided.
