Stroud Water Research Center Model My Watershed Workshop For Teachers Feb. 16

The Stroud Water Research Center and the Chester County Intermediate Unit will host a 21st Century Tools Workshop: Model My Watershed on February 16 for middle and high school science curriculum coordinators, teachers and coaches; special education coordinators, teachers and coaches; and administrators.
Participants will explore new technological tools to support student learning about watersheds, stream health, and water quality. Resources featured in this workshop include the WikiWatershed.org toolkit and the web-based Model My Watershed GIS.
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and mobile devices. Laptops will also be provided. There is a related workshop, Water Quality Mobile App: 21st Century Tools, in the afternoon.
Participants staying for both the morning and afternoon sessions will only have 30 minutes for lunch. It is recommended to pack a lunch.
Workshop cost is subsidized by the Teaching Environmental Sustainability-Model My Watershed grant from the National Science Foundation.
The workshop will be held at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, 455 Boot Road, Downingtown from 8:30 to 11:30.
