Lehigh, Northampton Counties Master Watershed Stewards Info Sessions Jan. 10, 18, 24

Individuals interested in knowing more about the Lehigh Valley Master Watershed Stewards Program can attend a January 10 information session in Allentown, Lehigh County, January 18 in Nazareth, Northampton County and Bethlehem on January 24.
The information sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.--
-- January 10: Lehigh County Agriculture Center, 4185 Dorney Park Road, Room 108, Allentown;
-- January 18: Northampton Extension Office, 14 Gracedale Avenue, Nazareth; and
-- January 24: Illick’s Mill, 100 Illick’s Mill Road, Bethlehem.
Individuals that have an interest in the environment, a willingness to learn more, and most importantly, a strong desire to make a difference in the community are excellent candidates for the program.
To become a certified Master Watershed Steward, you must complete 40 hours of training and fulfill 50 hours of volunteer service within the first year. After becoming certified, you can maintain your status by giving at least 20 volunteer hours and attending at least 10 hours of continuing education annually.
