Department of Environmental Protection is seeking qualified applicants for several Environmental Engineering Specialist and Environmental Engineer positions.
DEP is recruiting to fill four vacancies for Environmental Engineering Specialists, one of each in the following counties-- Allegheny, Dauphin, Luzerne and Washington. Currently there are four vacancies in Dauphin County for Environmental Engineers.
-- Environmental Engineering Specialist: This is professional environmental engineering work in an environmental regulatory, resource management, conservation or construction program area. An employee in this job performs a variety of journey-level engineering work assignments that require the interpretation and application of standard engineering techniques, procedures and guidelines, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications as needed.
-- Environmental Engineer: This is advanced professional environmental engineering work in an environmental regulatory, resource management, conservation or construction program area. An employee in this job performs advanced professional environmental engineering work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
