EQB To Consider Petition On Setting PFOA Standard Aug. 15

The Environmental Quality Board is scheduled to meet on August 15 to consider accepting a rulemaking petition asking the Board to adopt a maximum contaminant level for perfluorooctanoic (PFOA) in the Delaware River.
PFOA is the substance that has contaminated water supplies around the former Willow Grove Air Station in Montgomery County and other locations.
Also on the agenda are--
-- Final Regulation Changing Stream Designations For Certain Watersheds In Berks, Chester, Monroe, Northampton and Susquehanna Counties; and
-- Recommendation For No Change In Stream Designations For Certain Watersheds In Allegheny, Chester and Pike Counties.
The meeting will be held in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg starting at  9:00.
