Winners Of 11th Annual PA Parks & Forests Foundation Awards Announced

The winners of the 11th annual PA Parks & Forests Foundation Awards were announced Monday in the Spring issue of Penn’s Stewards.
Every May, the Foundation recognizes outstanding service, programs and places which remind us of the exemplary work being done in parks and forests, by both staff and volunteers, to improve Pennsylvania’s quality of life and to protect our natural assets for future generations.
This year’s winners include--
-- Cliff Jones Keystone Legacy Award: Paul Felton
-- Government Award: Maryann Haladay-Bierly
-- President’s Award: Graffiti Busters of Hammonds Rocks (Photo)
-- Forest of the Year: Weiser State Forest, Columbia County
-- Park of the Year: Shawnee State Park, Bedford County
-- Volunteer, Education: Friends of Mt. Pisgah State Park, Bradford County
-- Volunteer, Improvement: Boy Scout Troop 345
-- Volunteer, Volunteerism: Friends of White Clay Creek Preserve, Chester County
-- Young Volunteer: Katie Gustafson
