Trout Unlimited will host a pipeline construction monitoring training from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 18 in Palmerton, Carbon County.
The program trains volunteers to monitor water resources that may be impacted by natural gas pipeline development.
Focusing on potential erosion and sedimentation impacts, the goal of this workshop is to train volunteers to effectively monitor water quality on high priority streams along the proposed PennEast Pipeline route before, during, and after pipeline construction in Luzerne, Carbon, Northampton and Bucks counties.
This program is an objective data collection effort and does not engage in advocacy-related activities. The TU Pennsylvania Construction Pipeline Monitoring Program is a partnership between Trout Unlimited and the PA Council of Trout Unlimited. Funding is provided by the Cedar Tree Foundation.
Please register for the training by contacting Jake Lemon at 814-779-3965 or send email to: jlemon@tu.org.
