The Public Utility Commission published notice in the January 7 PA Bulletin seeking comments on proposed regulations setting standards for changing a customer’s natural gas supplier.
The proposed regulatory changes are intended to accelerate the process of changing natural gas suppliers while preserving safeguards to prevent the unauthorized switching of a customer's account, also known as ''slamming.''
The deadline for comments is February 21.
Written comments referencing Docket No. L-2016-2577413 be submitted to the Public Utility Commission, Attn: Secretary, P.O. Box 3265, Harrisburg, PA 17105-3265. Comments may also be filed electronically through the Commission's e-File System.
