Chesapeake Bay Foundation Statement On EPA Administrator Nominee Scott Pruitt

Chesapeake Bay Foundation President William C. Baker Wednesday issued this statement following the testimony of EPA Administrator nominee Scott Pruitt concerning Bay restoration efforts.
In answer to questioning from U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Maryland), Pruitt applauded the cooperative federal/state partnership and said he would enforce the Total Maximum Daily Load pollution limits if necessary.  (Click Here for Pruitt statement.)
“The federal government, led by EPA, plays an essential role in the federal/state partnership to restore the Bay. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation looks forward to working with Mr. Pruitt, should he be confirmed, to build on the progress that has been made and achieve the goal of restoring this national treasure.”
