The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be accepting applications for Brownfields Assessment and Cleanup Grants until December 20.
The grants offer financial assistance to deal with sites contaminated by petroleum and hazardous substances, pollutants or other contaminants, including hazardous substances.
Assessment grants provide funds to inventory, characterize, assess and conduct planning, including cleanup planning, and community involvement.
Cleanup grants provide funds to clean up a specific brownfield site owned by the applicant.
For more information, visit EPA’s Brownfields Grants webpage. Questions should be directed to EPA Region 3 Brownfields Coordinator Tom Stolle at 215-814-3129.
