The Pennsylvania Conservation Heritage Project launched its new website and invites visitors to explore the new design and features.
The new website has been designed to provide a user-friendly experience to learn about Pennsylvania’s remarkable history of conservation.
Visitors can access interviews, a timeline, and documentaries about prominent PA conservationist.
There are easy to use educational materials, including discussion questions and fact sheets, to use when showing the documentaries. Engage in with short conservation vignettes or read a summary of an oral interview contained on the website.
“Connecting to our history not only allows us to navigate the future, it can also inspire the next generation of conservation leaders,” said Marci Mowery, President of PA Parks and Forests Foundation, a partner in the Pennsylvania Conservation Heritage Project. “The website is designed to not only share the stories that we know, but to continue to build stories as the public engages with the website.”
Funded in part through a grant from the William Penn Foundation and the R.K. Mellon Foundation, the Pennsylvania Conservation Heritage website is but one tool in a larger collection of methods to reconnect Pennsylvanians to their conservation legacy.
