The Penn State Delaware County Master Watershed Stewards training program is accepting applications for the class of 2017 until November 1.
Within the first year after classroom study, apprentices are required to volunteer 50 hours in the community.
Training sessions for selected candidates will be held one night each week at Penn State’s Brandywine campus beginning the week of Jan. 22 and ending before April 16.
Funding for the program has been provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s “Growing Greener” grant program.
