DEP To Hold 10 Webinars On Final Chapter 78 Marcellus Shale Drilling Regulations

The Department of Environmental Protection has scheduled a series of 10 webinars starting August 22 and ending on September 1 for stakeholders involved in the permitting and operation of Marcellus Shale gas wells under the new final Chapter 78 drilling regulations.
DEP anticipates final publication of the regulations in the PA Bulletin in the next several weeks.
The dates and times of the webinars are—
— August 22: Pipelines & Horizontal Directional Drilling from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  Click Here to register;
— August 23: Waste Management - Control & Disposal from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Click Here to register;
— August 24: Emergency Response, Secondary Containment, Reporting/Remediating Spills &  Releases from 10:00 a.m. to noon [1.5 hour presentation followed by Q/A]  Click Here to register;
— August 25: Well Permits & Reporting from 10:00 a.m. to noon [half hour presentation followed by Q/A]  Click Here to register;
— August 26: Water Management Plans from 10:00 a.m. to noon [half hour presentation followed by Q/A]  Click Here to register;
— August 29: Area of Review 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. [1.5 hour presentation followed by Q/A] Click Here to register;

The agenda for each webinar includes a one hour presentation, followed by a question and answer session, unless otherwise noted.
DEP will make the recorded webinars available on its website approximately one week after the date of the live webinar.
