The Commonwealth Financing Authority is now accepting applications for its green building and renewable energy funding programs. The deadline for applications is August 25 (60 days prior to the scheduled October 24 CFA Board meeting date).
The programs include--
-- High Performance Green Building Program: Provides financial assistance in the forms of grants and loan funds to underwrite the cost premiums associated with the design and construction or major renovation of high performance buildings in the state.
-- Renewable Energy Program-Geothermal & Wind Projects: Provides financial assistance in the forms of grant and loan funds to promote the use of geothermal and wind energy in the state.
Eligible applicants are encouraged to contact Ryan Emerson at 717-787-6245.
Applicants are also strongly encouraged to get an endorsement of their project from their House and Senate members because the process for selecting projects for funding is very political.
