For 25 years, StreamWatch volunteers of Brodhead Watershed Association in Monroe County have been checking local streams on a monthly basis. Volunteers are always welcome to join the efforts to ensure water quality remains good to excellent in our local streams.
StreamWatch training sessions will be held 7 to 9 p.m. March 17, and 10 a.m. to noon March 19, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 406 Upper Swiftwater Road, Swiftwater. You need attend only one session.
There you will meet team volunteers from your local watershed, learn what the program is all about, and get hands-on training with the equipment. At that time, you can decide if Streamwatch is right for you.
To register for either training session or if you have questions, contact the BWA office at 570-839-1120 or send email to: info@brodheadwatershed.org.
