Here’s a quick summary of happened Wednesday on the budget: House did nothing but go home on a 6-hour call after Tuesday moving a $30.8 billion “agreed-to” budget bill in a coup; Senate passes $30.2 billion House Republican budget (not the “agreed-to” budget framework they have been fighting for since November 9 on a party-line vote and it goes to Gov. Wolf for him to sign, veto in its entirety or in part, a statement released yesterday after the Senate action gave no hint; non-preferred appropriations-- including funding for Penn State and state-related universities in limbo; Senate goes home on a 6-hour call. Merry Christmas.
