DEP Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force Moves Last Meeting To Jan. 20

The DEP Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force met Wednesday and decided to move its last meeting to January 20 from the 13th and spent most of its meeting time trying to decide how to identify which of the 184 recommendations in the draft Task Force Report were most important.
The meeting was moved in part, to allow Task Force members more time to fill out a survey to express how they feel about each of the recommendations in one of five gradations from disagree to agree with intermediate views of somewhat agree, somewhat disagree and neutral.
The extra week will also give Task Force members more of an opportunity to review public comments received by DEP.

DEP is now accepting comments from the public on the draft Report until December 29 through DEP’s eComment webpage.
The group of 48 experts and stakeholders, led by DEP Secretary John Quigley, will recommend policies, guidelines, and best practices to guide the anticipated and unprecedented build-out of pipeline infrastructure expected to take place across Pennsylvania during the next decade.
The group’s report is due to Gov.Wolf by February 2016.
The meeting on January 20 will be held at DEP’s Southcentral Regional Office at 909 Elmerton Ave. in Harrisburg starting at 1:00. Webcast instructions will be posted on the Task Force meeting page.
