DEP Hosts Hearing On Replacing Contaminated Water Supply In Bucks County Nov. 17

The Department of Environmental Protection will host a public hearing on November 17 regarding a proposed waterline installation to address and replace a contaminated water supply in Northampton and Warwick Townships, Bucks County.
The hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Warwick Township building, located at 1775 Township Green Road, Jamison, PA 18929. It is intended to allow for public testimony on the proposed remedial action for affected residents.
“The health and safety of our residents is a top priority for our Department,” said Southeast Regional Director Cosmo Servidio. “In this case, providing a public waterline is the most effective measure to ensure the wellbeing of those impacted. It’s very important for residents to monitor their private wells every three to five years to make sure these contaminants are not hiding in our drinking water.”
DEP will record testimony and receive written comments throughout the hearing; DEP will also accept written comments from September 26, 2015 until December 28, 2015. Written comments should be sent to: Josh Crooks, Solid Waste Specialist at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, 2 East Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Comments may also be emailed to: jocrooks@pa.gov, with the subject clearly stating that the email is intended for public record.
