York County Watershed Weekend Sept. 26-27

The public is encouraged to get involved in the Watershed Alliance of York’s 2015 Watershed Weekend! September 26-27.
The purpose of the Watershed Weekend is to get to know your watershed and meet the folks and organizations who are working hard to enhance, restore and protect them. Come join us and learn how you can “connect with your watershed”!
Opportunities abound to learn how to become a Master Watershed Steward; tour Red Lion Municipal Authority’s new drinking water treatment plant; help C.S. Davison volunteers clean up Mill Creek; learn how to build a rain garden at the Horn Farm Center’s Homestead Day; enjoy a collection of short films on fly fishing with Trout Unlimited – Codorus Chapter; kayak paddle through history on Pinchot Lake; and go to the Bonham Wildlife Sanctuary and hike in the woods with Trout Unlimited – Muddy Chapter.
WAY’s 2015 Watershed Weekends free self-guide brochure, including venue descriptions and location maps, may be found online.
Weekend Guides are also available at your local library, municipal office, lobby of the York County Pleasant Acres ANNEX, and from the individual venue sponsors. We hope you come join us!
The Watershed Alliance of York (WAY) is a coalition of stakeholders committed to being innovative leaders educating the public and encouraging watershed-based planning, restoration and protection, through locally led initiatives, in York County and beyond.
