The Susquehanna River Basin Commission is conducting its quarterly business meeting September 10 at 9:00 a.m., DoubleTree by Hilton Binghamton, Grand Riverside Room, 225 Water St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901. The meeting is open to the public.
The Commissioners will act on several agenda items, including 28 project applications; resolution to correct Exhibit A attached to Resolution No. 2013-11; release of proposed rulemaking for public comment; amendment of the Comprehensive Plan for the Water Resources of the Susquehanna River Basin; regulatory compliance matter with Downs Racing L.P.; request from Panda Power Funds for transfer of ownership of Hummel Station LLC (Docket Nos. 20081222 and 20081222-2); and approval of grant agreements that the Commission will receive.
The business meeting agenda will also include requests to extend emergency certificates for Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. and Furman Foods, Inc.
SRBC will also host an informational presentation from Dr. Joseph Graney, Associate Director for Binghamton University’s Center for Integrated Watershed Studies, focused on work in urban watersheds in the Upper Susquehanna subbasin.
Opportunities for public comment on project applications were provided previously; however, SRBC may accept general public comments at the conclusion of the meeting.
SRBC’s Rules of Conduct for quarterly business meetings include:
— Attendees must sign-in and show photo identification.
— Signage, posters, banners or other display media will be permitted only in designated areas.
— The press will be permitted to set up and use video and recording devices in a designated area. The public will be permitted to use small, hand-held devices that remain in their possession and are used in a non-disruptive manner.
