The PA Resources Council will hold its two final collection events in Western PA on October 3 in Allegheny County and on October 10 in Beaver County.
At the Allegheny County event, individuals can drop off electronic waste such as computers, cell phones, printer/toner cartridges, CFLs and expanded polystyrene packaging material at no cost.
For a nominal fee, individuals can drop off alkaline batteries, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances and tires.
The event will be held at The Mall at Robinson from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
At the Beaver County event, individuals can drop off automotive fluids, household cleaners, pesticides, paints and other household chemicals for a cost of $3/gallon from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bradys Run Park Recycling Center.
Both events are held rain or shine.
