The August edition of “Environmental Focus,” the PA Environmental Council’s monthly half-hour television talk show, is now available online. The topic of this month’s program is DEP’s Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force.
The show features Department of Environmental Protection Secretary and task force chair John Quigley.
In his interview, Quigley outlines the mission and goals of the 48-member task force as it works towards its February 2016 deadline to make recommendations to Gov. Tom Wolf for a 21st century natural gas distribution system.
Following Quigley’s interview, a roundtable discussion on the problems of locating gas pipelines will include Nels Johnson, Director of North America Energy at the Nature Conservancy and PEC President and CEO Davitt Woodwell, who himself was appointed to the task force.
Previous editions of “Environmental Focus” have included topics such as outdoor recreation on Pennsylvania’s waterways and Pennsylvania’s state budget. The show has featured distinguished guests such as Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn and former DEP Secretary David Hess.
Environmental Focus first airs on the Pennsylvania Cable Network monthly.
