The Department of Environmental Protection late Monday announced the August 26 DEP Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force meeting will be webcast live starting at 1:00. Click Here to view the meeting online.
DEP said the agenda for the meeting will include--
-- Presentation by DCNR on Management of Pipeline Infrastructure;
-- Presentation on Planning, Mapping and Permitting, A County Overview; and
-- Role of Conservation Districts in Natural Gas Pipelines.
Future presentations will include--
-- September 23--
-- Pipelines – An Exemplary Vision Presentation, Jeff Logan, Bravo Group
-- Pipeline Habitat Impacts and Responses in the Central Appalachians, Nels Johnson, TNC
-- October 28--
-- Voluntary Best Practices: Managing Operational Risk and Protecting Significant Historic and Cultural Resources - Presentation by Leaders in Energy and Preservation (LEAP), Marion Werkheiser, Cultural Heritage Partners
-- Integration/Coordination of Permitting between State and Federal Agencies: Col. Edward Chamberlayne, US Army Corps of Engineers; Heather Smiles, Fish and Boat Commission; and Dan Devlin, DCNR.
The meeting will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 at the DEP’s Southcentral Regional Office, 909 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg, but limited seating is available.
