DEP Announces Darrin Bodner, Executive Deputy For Administration & Management

Acting DEP Secretary John Quigley Monday announced the appointment of Darrin Bodner as DEP’s Executive Deputy Secretary for Administration and Management.  
In this post, Darrin will oversee core internal operations and will work with to enhance our business processes and upgrade information technology resources across the organization.
Bodner brings expertise in technology, financial management and organizational administration, having served most recently as director of operations for Oblong Industries, a new technology firm in Los Angeles, CA.   For five years there, he led the finance, administration, legal affairs and assets management units.
Prior to that, he co-created Media Matters for America “dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media” and served in its senior management from its incorporation in 2003 through 2008.
Before Media Matters, Bodner's experience included government, political campaigns, nonprofit and corporate experience.
Most notably, he served as development director for the award-winning Off-Broadway Atlantic Theater Company. He also served as an adviser to former New York City Council Speaker Peter F. Vallone, Sr., as well as a chief fundraiser for Vallone's 2001 mayoral campaign.
He holds a bachelor of arts in both Economics and Dramatic Arts from Dickinson College.
