The PA Parks and Forests Foundation Friday announced the winners of the 2015 awards to recognize exemplary work in state parks and forests by staff and volunteers. The winners are—
— Cliff Jones Keystone Legacy Award: Linda McKenna Boxx
— Government Award: Norm Lacasse
— President’s Award: Deloitte Consulting
— Park of the Year: Point State Park
— Forest of the Year: Buchanan State Forest
— Individual Volunteer of the Year: Helen Maurella
— Improvement Award: Warren Renninger
— Group Volunteer of the Year: Friends of Nolde Environmental Education Center
— Education Award: Friends of Black Moshannon State Park
— Young Volunteer Award: Kayce Bobnar
Pam Metzler, Membership and Volunteer Coordinator of PPFF, said the Foundation will share their stories in the weeks ahead in her weekly Take Five email.
The award winners will be honored at a special banquet on May 5 at the West Shore Country Club near Harrisburg.
