StormwaterPA.org Premier Of Wissahickon Watershed Video Nov. 11

StormwaterPA.org Tuesday announced the premier of a new video, A Healthy Wissahickon: We All Have A Part To Play in its October newsletter.
The Wissahickon in Montgomery and Philadelphia counties has served historically as an important watershed for industry and clean waters. Throughout this history it has faced numerous changes, and now, with the development of suburban areas, stormwater runoff poses a significant threat to both residents and the environment.
These challenges are met by the resilience of residents determined to preserve the  environment and their livelihood. Stormwater management policies and technology are implemented on a large scale by townships and local governments while residents help by installing rain barrels and rain gardens in their backyards. Once expansive lawns turn into a meadow oasis for native plants and animals all while providing an essential service to the community.
Through the development of combined techniques the Wissahickon watershed is making a comeback. Changes made by homeowners have a huge potential to make an impact. What initiative can you take to make a difference?
A premier of our feature video A Healthy Wissahickon: We All Have a Part to Play will be held at the Ambler Theater in Montgomery County on November 11th at 7:30 p.m.. Learn about what you can do to help preserve and create a healthier, safer Wissahickon.
