July is Park and Recreation Month, and what better way to celebrate our state parks and forests than to become a member of the PA Parks and Forests Foundation.
Founded in 1999, PPFF supports 120 state parks and 2.2 million acres of forest by establishing friends groups across the Commonwealth, addressing project needs in parks and forests, ensuring increased accessibility in parks and forests and promoting the value of our public lands.
The mission of the foundation is to promote and support the natural and cultural resources of Pennsylvania's state parks and forests through leadership in recreation, education, conservation and volunteerism.
There’s a new perk for those who support the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation –membership in the state’s largest credit union, Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU). PPFF members who are Pennsylvania residents are now eligible to join PSECU.
“I am pleased to announce our new partnership with PSECU, one of the nation’s largest credit unions,” PPFF President Marci Mowery says. “In addition to our many other benefits of being a member—such as supporting our work, discounts at businesses across the state, and access to member-only events—this new opportunity gives PPFF members a tool for managing their money in these tough economic times.”
Once PPFF members join PPFF, they and their immediate family and household members can also enjoy the many benefits of this PPFF member benefit, and become a credit union member.
