Help Wanted: Allegheny Land Trust - Land Stewardship Coordinator

The Allegheny Land Trust is in search of a full-time Land Stewardship Coordinator who oversees stewardship activities of the organization’s conservation areas which includes coordinating volunteer recruitment, facilitating community engagement and planning events at specific conservation areas.  
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the environment and land conservation and is knowledgeable using GIS and GPS technologies.  The ideal candidate will be able to facilitate large groups and be comfortable with public speaking.  
Additionally, the individual will be skilled in planning and records management and have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals both written and verbal.  This position reports to the Stewardship Director.
A degree in natural science, environmental education, park and resource management, landscape architecture or a related field and 2-3 years of experience is required.  The candidate must have the ability to work evenings and weekends.  Individuals should be comfortable walking over steep, rugged terrain and lifting 50 pounds.  Candidate must have reliable transportation.  Allegheny Land Trust is an equal opportunity employer.
