This year’s Conference will be titled “Responsible Land Use: Protecting Habitat and Native Species” focusing on issues and solutions to protecting our coldwater resources. The conference will feature presentations on stormwater management, buffer maintenance, pervious pavements, development, aquatic invasive species, and land use protection.
The conference is designed for grassroots members from organizations such as; Trout Unlimited chapters, watershed organizations, sportsmen’s groups, along with environmental professionals across the state to come together to share new ideas and concepts dealing with protecting our coldwater resource.
The conference will begin on Friday evening with a social reception. This will be a great opportunity to network with other individuals interested in protecting our resource and visit with exhibitors and poster presenters.
Saturday will begin with two keynote speakers; Dr. Steve Williams, President of the Wildlife Management Institute and Scott Stranko, Conservation biologist for Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Twelve breakout sessions will round off the morning and afternoon, with topics related to protecting habitat and native species.
