Pittsburgh plays host June 5 to the United Nations Environment Programme North American World Environment Day 2010 activities which this year have the theme of “Biodiversity: Connecting with Nature.”
Local government officials, businesses, organizations and individuals worked with UNEP’s Regional Office for North America to schedule a series of events during the six weeks that “bridge the gap” between the 40th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22 and World Environment Day on June 5.
You can follow the special events through the special Pittsburgh World Environment Day website.
