Southwest Regional No Till Conference Set For February 3

The 2010 Southwest Regional No Till Conference will be held on February 3 At Giannilli's II, Route 30, East of Greensburg, Pa.
The Conference will give participants the opportunity to learn new no-till ideas and strategies from some of the region’s leading no-till proponents and practitioners.
The keynote speaker will be David Brandt who has invested in no till practices on his farm for more than 30 years and he will share his experiences, providing answers to any questions you may have.
Whether you have been practicing no till farming for some time or are thinking about starting to put no till farming into your operation, this conference is the place to get hands on knowledge about the benefits and challenges.
Learn how you can use no-till techniques to increase productivity and protect your biggest investment: the soil on your farm. Hear from organizations and agencies that can help you with technical and in some cases, financial assistance to achieve a successful no till operation.
Ask questions about new techniques, equipment modification, and best practices to overcome the challenges of introducing new approaches.
The conference is sponsored by Penn’s Corner Resource Conservation & Development Council, Inc., Capital RC&D, Penn State Cooperative Extension, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Conservation Districts located in the Southwest Region of Pennsylvania.
Register by January 22, and your cost is $30. (after January 22, the cost is $40.) Your registration fee includes morning refreshments, lunch and meeting materials.
There are two ways to register: mail the registration brochure along with check made payable to Penn’s Corner Conservancy to Penn’s Corner Conservancy, 214 Donohoe Road, Greensburg, PA 15601 or fax your completed registration to Penn’s Corner Conservancy at 724-832-9721.
