Breathtaking vistas, spectacular seasonal shots and wildlife are on display in the 2010 Pennsylvania State Parks calendar, which is now available for purchase from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
“The calendar will take you to a different state park each month, and is a beautiful reminder of the treasures that belong to all of us in our system of 117 state parks,” said acting DCNR Secretary John Quigley. “When you purchase a calendar, it also helps to support the operation of our state parks – an added value.”
Acting Secretary Quigley added the calendar would be an ideal holiday gift for anyone who loves nature or enjoys having fun outdoors. Each month features tips on what to see and do at state parks, notes holidays and significant environmental observances, and includes conservation tips.
The cost of the 9” x 13” calendar is $8.49, plus sales tax and shipping, and can be ordered by calling 1-888-PAPARKS.
The calendar also may be purchased at the following state parks: Bald Eagle, Caledonia, Canoe Creek, Codorus, Colonel Denning, Cowans Gap, Delaware Gap, Gifford Pinchot, Greenwood Furnace, Kings Gap, Lackawanna, Leonard Harrison, Moraine, Nockamixon, Oil Creek, Parker Dam, Pine Grove Furnace, Promised Land, Pymatuning, Raccoon Creek, Ricketts Glen, Sizerville, Tobyhanna, and Worlds End.
