Whether it's keeping up with teacher workshops or nature hikes at the local state park, the Pennsylvania Center for Environmental Education's online calendar is the one-stop-shop for environmental education events. And now, it's even easier to use.
The PCEE Events and Programs Calendar offers all-new functionality that includes direct transfer to personal calendars like Google or to the social network Facebook. Individual events may be emailed, downloaded, printed or sent in a text message; it's even possible to set up automatic reminders or change notifications for upcoming events.
RSS Feeds from the PCEE calendar notify the subscriber when events are posted that match pre-selected criteria. For example, a teacher might want to know about new ACT 48 accredited workshops that are posted within a certain distance from his or her home.
With the new mapping function, events with specific locations appear on a map that shows roads and aerial views. Events may be displayed by week, by month or even by location on an interactive map.
All events still have both a summary and long view option in the calendar; long view includes contact information, target audience and event description among others. Searching for a particular event may still be accomplished through date, keyword or type of event.
PCEE's Events and Programs Calendar publishes environmental education events large and small of interest to the general public, educators and professionals across the state. Whether it's a major EE conference, a regional festival or a workshop at a local state park, we want to know so we can let others know, too.
Event hosts and organizations may add events with the Submit an Event form.
