DEP Accepting Applications For Driving PA Forward Ocean-Going Vessel Shorepower Grants, Webinar July 1

The Department of Environmental Protection is now accepting applications for Driving PA Forward Ocean-Going Vessel Shorepower Grants.  The deadline for applications is October 30. (formal notice)
This funding is available for eligible diesel emission reduction projects that will improve air quality and protect public health and the environment by reducing emissions from ocean-going vessels in port.
The Department is seeking applications for projects that will install eligible marine shorepower systems at eligible port locations in this Commonwealth. The marine shorepower system must comply with international shore power design standards (ISO/IEC/IEEE 80005-1-2012 High Voltage Shore Connection Systems or the IEC/PAS 80005-3:2014 Low Voltage Shore Connection Systems).
DEP will hold a webinar July 1 from 10:30 to Noon on how to apply for this program.  Check the Driving PA Forward Ocean Going Vessel Shore Power Systems webpage for a registration link [when posted].
Funding for the Driving PA Forward comes from the Volkswagen Mitigation Trust settlement with EPA for vehicle emission violations.  Pennsylvania’s share of the funding is over $118 million.
