PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices/Opportunities To Comment - April 8

The following DEP notices were published in the
April 8 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

Land Recycling/Brownfield Cleanups

-- Coterra Energy, Inc. - D. Brazitis Well Pad 1: DEP received Final Report on the remediation of soil contaminated with drilling wastewater in Lenox Twp., Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2005)

-- Coterra Energy, Inc. - F. Lippincott Well Pad 1: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with drilling wastewater in Brooklyn Twp., Susquehanna County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2005)

-- EQT Corporation - Pale Ale Well Pad: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with aluminum, barium, boron, chloride, iron, lithium, manganese, selenium, strontium, vanadium, and zinc in Jackson Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2005)

-- CNX Gas Company, LLC - NV 48 Well Pad: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with aluminum, barium, boron, iron, lithium, manganese, selenium, strontium, vanadium, and zinc in Morris Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2006)

-- Sunoco Pipeline - Tinicum Release Site: DEP received a Remedial Investigation Report/ Cleanup Plan on remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with unleaded gasoline in Tinicum Twp., Delaware County. (PA Bulletin, page 2005)

--Coterra Energy, Inc. - R. Warriner Well Pad 2: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with diesel-based drilling mud in Dimock Twp., Susquehanna County.   (PA Bulletin, page 2006)

-- PennEnergy Resources, LLC - W58 Tank Pad: Permit application withdrawn for the installation of 1 tank for oil and gas liquid waste under WMGR123 in Winfield Twp., Butler County. (PA Bulletin, page 2007)


Air Quality Permits

-- Greylock Midstream, LLC - Veres Compressor Station: DEP accepted General Permit-5 for Veres Compressor Station for associated compressors, pigging operations and other air pollution sources at the facility  in Greene Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 2008)

-- Equitrans LP - Ginger Hill Site: DEP extended General Permit-1 for natural gas combustion unit in Fallowfield Twp., Washington County. (PA Bulletin, page 2009)

-- Adelphia Gateway, LLC - New Pipeline Compressor Station: DEP issued Air Quality Plan Approval for a compressor station in Lower Chichester Twp., Delaware County.   (PA Bulletin, page 2009)

-- Perennial Energy CMM PA, LLC - Coal Mine Methane Flaring Site: DEP issued Air Quality Plan Approval for the flaring site in Wayne Twp., Greene County. (PA Bulletin, page 2010)

-- MarkWest Liberty Midstream & Resources, LLC -Timberlake Compressor Station Flaring Equipment: DEP issued Air Quality Plan Approval for a “de minimis” air emission increase related to natural gas flaring equipment in Buffalo Twp., Washington County. (PA Bulletin, page 2010)

-- National Fuel Gas Supply Corp. - Costello Compressor Station: DEP revoked the State-Only Air Quality Permit at the company’s request for the facility in Portage Twp., Potter County.   (PA Bulletin, page 2010)


Chapter 105 Encroachment Permits

-- Chesapeake Appalachia, LLC - Water Withdrawal Point: DEP invites comments on a Chapter 105 permit application for a water withdrawal point in the Susquehanna River for shale gas drilling development in Asylum Twp., Bradford County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1991)
