Gov. Wolf Announces Multimodal Transportation Project Funding, Including 13 Trail, Bike, Walking Path Projects

On April 21, Gov. Tom Wolf announced the approval of 116 new projects through the
Multimodal Transportation Fund, improving Pennsylvania’s transportation infrastructure and ensuring safer, more reliable transportation accommodation across the commonwealth. The projects total more than $48 million in funding.

$4.371,307 in grants support thirteen trail, bike and walking path projects.  The project include--

     -- Churchill Valley Greenway - $250,000

     -- Lexington Park Improvements - $504,736

     -- Larimer-Homewood Greenway Extension/Bike Bridge - $750,000

-- Berks County

     -- Kutztown Park & Walk Project - $674,844

-- Bucks County

     -- Woodside Road Bikepath Project - $353,000

-- Chester County

     -- Fellowship Trail - $233,330

-- Delaware County

     -- Newtown Twp. Community Trail Loop - $650,000

-- Lackawanna County

     -- Lackawanna River Heritage Trail - $200,000

     -- Carbondale Pike St. Trail Phase II - $100,000

-- Lehigh County

     -- Weisenberg Twp. Multi-use Path Network Phase II - $130,397

-- Luzerne County

     -- Forty Fort Levee Trail - $200,000

-- Montgomery County

     -- Fort Washington Cross County Trail - $325,000

-- Philadelphia

     -- Schuylkill River Park Extension - $710,578
