Trout Unlimited Pipeline Water Monitoring Training June 3 In Lehigh County

The Trout Unlimited Pennsylvania Pipeline Construction Monitoring Program will hold a training session for water monitoring volunteers on June 3 in Emmaus, Lehigh County in partnership with the Wildlands Conservancy.
The goal of the program is to establish water monitoring efforts along the proposed PennEast Pipeline route in Luzerne, Carbon, Northampton and Bucks counties.
Focusing on potential erosion and sedimentation impacts, the goal of this workshop is to train volunteers to effectively monitor water quality on high priority streams along proposed pipeline routes before, during, and after pipeline construction.
The objective of the program is a data collection effort and does not engage in advocacy-related activities.
The deadline for registration is May 30. Directions to the training session and an agenda will be provided the week of the training.
